The Villas were created as an extension of the existing hotel’s exclusive look and feel to ensure that the ethos of the Saxon Hotel continued through in terms of design and quality. It was important to maintain a sense of space which is typical of the main hotel so the public areas have generous double volumes to make space for oversized couches and bespoke pieces of furniture.

The fabrics were carefully chosen and throughout the villas you will be hard pressed to find the same fabrics from one room to another – The total number of schemes put together was in excess of 75.

In terms of not copying the original hotel interior, we looked closely at unpacking the design ethos of the Saxon Hotel in terms of its contemporary African appeal.
